is the vix chart trying to tell us something

it's (VIX) taken a bit of a fall recently, but Dow has remained more or less sideways.

could the VIX be looking say 2~4weeks ahead saying uptrend imminent..????

you've got Obama being sworn in on the 20/1/2009, thats about 4weeks away..

VIX (Volatility) chart has been reliable in the past, shall be interesting times ahead.

lastly we know things are terrible, the auto bailout hasn't helped either. if this is the last of bailouts and we have NO more companys asking for tax payers money could we see the markets stabilize..????
