whether or not you accept that climate change is causing worsening, more volatile, severe storms, the fact of the matter is that these storms, and the corresponding heat waves, are causing more deaths.

weather events across the world have been shown to be catastrophic instead of merely bad. droughts are much more intense with severe dryness and floods too are more intense and briefer.

this is the natural consequence of a generally hotter atmosphere.

A tenth person has been confirmed to have died in severe storms across Australia over Christmas and Boxing Day, with a man's body found in Buchan, in Victoria's east Gippsland region Wednesday afternoon.

Police say it's believed the man, who is yet to be formally identified, was camping with a woman whose body was located after flash flooding on Boxing Day.The woman's body was found after 6pm on Tuesday night. A number of vehicles at the campground were underwater and several people had to be rescued from a nearby bridge, according to police.

The extreme weather across the nation's east coast has claimed the lives of nine other people, including a young girl. The bodies of two other women missing in Queensland were found on Wednesday.

you might think that this is just more normal weather but normal weather doesn't kill people.
