The potential of the, Observer Effect is very interesting. To detect an electron a photon must interact with it and just what happens in this exchange is really out there.

I think reality is something way beyond the collective input of our senses. Even colour does not exist in and of itself and is simply an information exchange and grading of lightwaves into a conveniently recognisable and information delivering data. We live in an ocean of subliminal cause and effect as a result of our very existence. I read once a piece by a Buddhist who said that we pass through this life as though walking on rice paper. Every step causes pain, disturbance and a rent via the passage of our foot-fall, to crudely paraphrase.

If observation can effect a beam of electrons, perhaps positive and negative attitudes can also somehow press upon the environment and maybe even each others mental state. The brain is electrical and what might be the possible results of the observer effect be in the brain space.

The great destructive moments in world history may be influenced by more than just circumstance. Thoughts may be contagious, both positive and negative.

And playing the devils advocate, if our tiny point of observation can effect something then if a God does exist with unlimited powers of observation then what might be the potential outcome of the observation effect that such an entity can produce upon physical reality?

The weird quantum world? It's weird at every conceivable level. We are a limited capacity, meat receiver, processor that processes everything into one kind of reality so that physical life looks like physical life and gets us from A to B in our life cycle.

What reality really is is anybodies guess?

Is the world a hologram? The world is unlikely to be projected, enabled, or represented by anything we can produce from within the system of physical reality itself. So I don't believe we are a hologram as such or any kind of hologram we might understand.
