My post was for some general discussion on a topic that is somewhat confusing...
Had I posted in 'science' I would have referred to the 'holographic principle'... which eventuated over a couple decades after Stephen Hawking claimed he could show 'information' is not conserved going against the fundamental law of physics.
The result was that he was finally proven wrong and thus YES we live in a holographic world... There exists 2 copies of information... one is us and what we experience and the other is the information also exists SCRAMBLED on the boundary of the volume.... Hence seems little discussion?
The 'brain in a box' is not about measuring brains... simply an argument in logic
So that brings me to what I tried (unsuccessfully) to propose...
This was one of my musings whilst waiting for the next trading opportunity...
We (whatever we are) live out our lives... everyday there is greater emphasis on technology with AI becoming foremost... everyday there is more computing power... we combine these to play computer games and these become more realistic each day???
So take that forward a hundred or maybe several thousand years...
Do WE (or maybe alien life) gain the ability to generate and maintain a computer game that is what we NOW consider our lives???
If so would we get any glimpse it may be so?
It would be unprovable as per the 'brain in a box' argument but maybe a glimpse might be...
The computers would NOT be infinitely powerful so REALITY could only happen as per an observation?
The basis of REALITY would be digital.
The math that we use to describe REALITY would use computer error correction code.
etc etc
Just a personal musing...
Another would be maybe a sexy young girl will ask me to come away from my computer and paint the town red with her?
Hang on... I'm semi retired and live in Thailand so that's actually happened...
Well I THINK it happened...
This REALITY stuff gets confusing at times.
