Hope queenfish has not been waiting in front of screen continuously since 28/5/03 to read your reply !

I agree with you that SYMEX looks pretty good.
Their comment today re trade agreement adds further potential to their profit .

Rendering tallow, making soap, glycerin & other oleo chemicals is not something to get too excited about, but it is a good steady business.

The soap business which they bought last year dovetails in very neatly with their main game.

Apart from contract manufacturing some of the well known soaps, they are making home brand soap for ALDI supermarkets.
Management seems excellent. I have had a couple of discussions with MD Mike Newton in the past, & Alan Stockdale as chairman aint no slouch.
I used to own reasonable sizable parcel but sold them all last December.

Wish I hadn't !.... Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
