One thing if i may point out about that graph is that I do not think you can draw the same parallel of a 90% fall in the market this time around over a 4 year period.
If the blue line (market today) was pulled down under the black (1930's) so that the bottom of the blue line is brought to the same point as the bottom of the black line then I think te graph is a much better representation and reveals that this year will be flat to mildly decresing nowhere like the 40%+ drop that it represents.
I have assumed that this recession/depression can be pulled out of earlier than the 1930's.
