i'm not sure if i'd go as far as to say ron paul is a moron though.

fundamentally and philosophically i think he's a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other cronies. i do however think that in the context of what you are saying that RP is either missing the point regarding the geopolitical ramifications of his HR1207 "audit the fed bill" (ie - opening a can of worms that perhaps shouldn't be opened), or he is well aware (likely), but is on a crusade and doesn't care about the bigger picture consequences.
