A cursory scan of the many lithium commentators will reveal that the cost of lithium in a battery is insignificant. Yes, the price of batteries will quickly become much cheaper - but that will have near zero effect on the price of lithium which will continue to remain high for the next 3 or so years because supply cannot meet demand.
