    Dear taughtbuffet

Thank you for responding for Mr Gordon - I'm sure he's a little more robust than you give him credit for. I was merely shaking the tree to see what would fall out and here you are.

I said I wasn't a Christian, not that I don't believe in Christ or his claim to be a messenger from God.

I'm not in any way an atheist. I have read the bible many times and it never fails to move me.

The anti-Christ is a metaphor for the values espoused by Christ being in conflict with a social decline not dissimilar to other major moments throughout history and impacts on all our lives.

Regarding the name of God, well Cyril is a nice name, and just as valid a Jehovah.

Thank you for offering to teach me something - isn't it a shame that you didn't include wanting to learn something yourself.

I originally came from Bankstown and that's about as civil as I can be.

Now, regarding your admonishment of me for not being civil. You have called me an atheist, and your going to educate me which suggests that you consider your position superior to mine and you've made a judgement of me, yet you would call it a conversation.

Dear sir, those who are the most sure of their conviction are the least able to have an open mind. Religion is not some stagnant pond that filled thousands of years ago and that's the only place we can draw water from.

I will try to be more civil in the future - you showed compassion coming to Mr Gordon's defence at that is commendable.
