    my father was a butcher but come show time (40 years ago) he would not let us have a hot dog. he made the best brawn etc from pig cheeks and whatever but he knew what went into the mass produced hot dogs. i still dont consider buying one of those red skinned things but enjoy the local butchers prize winning sausages.
