Here is a possible explanation of the shortfall in tonnes. Each area that was excavated would have been stockpiled individually to be fed into the mill so as to ascertain the gold return from that particular area. When the stockpile is almost exausted the loader operator would have been chasing that final few tonnes around the paddock, guesstimating how much he/she had in the bucket. Not a good look i will admit. I am suprised that a survey pickup of the excavated areas does not seem to have been carried out. This would ( if the SG was correct ) have been a formality to accurately calculate tonnages. Then again the rain might have prevented that occuring. Over 3 & a half thousand ounces. Im happy.
