Is there anyone looking at the numbers

When you run a small business you quickly understand that actual numbers are more important than talk. What are your sales, how much do your employees cost, what about rent and are you making a profit?

Numbers do not lie, and they paint a worrying picture at Triangle.

Over the last six quarterly reports the total cost of running cliff head has averaged about $1.5 million per month. That is the real spend in doing what is necessary to run the operation.

I do not know if I am right, but it looks to me that the money spent replacing the pumps during this time has been call investing activities in the reports so that really adds to the $1.5 million per month.

Triangles own number tell us the cost to run Cliff Head is $18 million each year plus any big spend on pumps and stuff. Now they must fix a well and it looks like a pump is broken. I don’t know how much that will cost but the past reports suggest many millions.

Anyone can calculate that 590 bbls per day times 30 days per month at a price of US$ 42 per barrel doesn’t cover the cost of running cliff head. The number say they are losing ½ million per month before spending any money fixing the big things like the problem with the well and the broken pump.
