Paul was addressing "holy ones" that were in line to rule with Christ Jesus in heaven 1 Cor 1:2; 2 Cor 1:1."
Neither of these verses mention those ruling with Christ in heaven (per Watchtower beliefs).
---------
Good point Whereu, I should not assume that others would know "holy ones" were to rule from heaven over mankind. Maybe this will help join the dots.
Jesus, ( son of man), was promised he would rule over mankind.
(Daniel 7:13, 14) “I kept watching in the visions of the night, and look! with the clouds of the heavens, someone like a son of man was coming; and he gained access to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him up close before that One. 14 And to him there were given rulership, honor, and a kingdom, that the peoples, nations, and language groups should all serve him. His rulership is an everlasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom will not be destroyed.
He was to be joined by these "holy ones" that would rule with him.
(Daniel 7:27) “‘And the kingdom and the rulership and the grandeur of the kingdoms under all the heavens were given to the people who are the holy ones of the Supreme One. Their kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all rulerships will serve and obey them.’
These will number 144,000.
(Revelation 14:1) Then I saw, and look! the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who have his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.
Those living on earth will be subjects of that heavenly kingdom.
(Psalm 72:8) He will have subjects from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth.
