    Good post attitudes.

The Company intends to develop projects in Victoria, Australia and other viable regions globally following demonstration in India....so it appears that, that's where it's going to be

Apparently - it's a 'rapidly developing Coldry demonstration program now underway in India'

The whole India road show seems to have jumped out of the hedge all of a sudden from mid 2013 when we told that we had progressed into the advanced chat stages with NLC following an EOI submission.

In August we were told that ECT has developed a proposal, currently under consideration by NLC, to demonstrate Coldry at their facility, located near Chennai, India; we were told that Coldry was successfully tested on NLCs lignite

Late November consultative partnership with YES BANK signed, and the Foz also becomes our new chairman. Project financing secured as notified on 24th December for a $20m trade finance for supporting the companies CDP in Australia OR India, as well as within the same announcement we were told that with the assistance of YES bank they had already interviews eleven international standard EPC contractors, aimed at securing a plant & equipment provider for Coldry projects worldwide, who would also be capable to playing a constructor role in India.

NLC has already warded contracts to BHEL for some $400m for design, manufacturing and installation of supercritical boilers...no straight lignite burning there..

As per the announcement on the 24th of December -

"As previously announced, the Company has completed its detailed engineering works that will deliver the construction of a CDP project of 170,000 tonnes per annum capacity. This project has two targets, both of which continue to progress – one in Australia’s Latrobe Valley, and one in India."

Why have two demonstration plants....? You only need one..The ALDP 'interrogations' may have raised a couple of ECT eyebrows back in August with logistic issue face palming signals from the interrogators from the likes of the AGL site which is 100km+ from the coast...did these cause eyebrows to twitch ; to which it would appear that ECT rapidly changed focus whilst letting the ALDP process do what it had to do...and moving it from the 'confident' to the 'maybe' filing cabinet .....were they told maybe not to expect to much, there's a slim chance....at this early stage it more about the infrastructure...

Which project would they have taken if ALDP was successful and the nod was given by NLC...two demo projects for the minnow....a good headache to have alright; $20m +/- free ALDP cash...well that would be a hard one to turn away from, they would have concentrated on LV with the temporarily thick wallet, demonstrated there and probably straight over to India ASAP with commercial validation as the demos growth to 500ktpa / 2mtpa would have been stunted possibly for years until the logistical infrastructure installed. Maybe they would have carried out both projects at once, who knows what was on offer in regard to bolstering the demo in NLC.

IMO taking the $20m free ALDP cash out of the equation...India with its domestic demand for thermal coal, evasion of the requirement for export infrastructure , along with the countries government owned power and lignite mining companies NLCs mission to triple baseload power in such a short space of time...comparing that to most likely construction of a demo in the LY and continuous demonstration till infrastructure was sorted out and with no real requirement to increase baseloads in areas not already serviced by some sort of fuel resource.....it must have crossed Ashley and Co's minds regularly , hence the one eye always being on India.....

I remember quite a few posters including myself wishing a couple of times over the course of 2013 that the ALDP didn't exist...well it doesn't for us anymore; yes it was a kicking to see that they were unsuccessful ..we were all obviously hoping for that rocket under the SP to be lit.....cash in the eye.

I'm not sure management it will take very long to get over it TBH; it looks like they are full steam ahead into India now with a very much clearer 'what happens after demo stage....do we keep demonstrating till the rail and ports go in' .....India appears to be - demo and then build modules on commercial validation and move into producer status. Return to LV with your demonstrations in the past and your 'it's commercial sticker' sticker on the car when they eventually get their rail and ports sorted out.

TBH it's probably a blessing in disguise. As you said attitudes, the buying up after such news was a bit of a eyebrow raiser...she hit 0.005c after the buys disappeared and the sells stacked, it probably only took 15m or so sales to drop it on its knees only for 50+ million in buys coming in to soak up those sales and line wiping 0.006 a number of times very eagerly. Someone sees value. IMO Indian news is very close...financing and interviewing contractors, supercritical contract already let by what we hope is the host

As per Ashley's ALDP postmortem , we aren't tinged with a 'tech not good enough, must try harder'...apparently we were considered a vastly superior tech in many aspects, but basically the $90m poor pot stands in the shadow of a multi billion dollar Victoria infrastructure requirement issue....appears that the tech is the least of the problem, there's serious logistics constraints, the tech is fine, it passed through the initial stages of some 30 applicants and made it up to the final stages and apparently considered 'a vastly superior tech in many aspects'

    Significant news very soon IMO
