The delay is due to statutory timeframes for the env impact statement under the commonwealth epbc act. Public comments are being sought until early feb. The c'wealth will then make a decision and refer back to the NT. Cant see there being any issues. There are some threatened species in the region but given the small footprint of the proposed development and he fatc that it is in the middle of millions of hectares of comparable scrub makes me think there won't be any problems.
