If this was bad news, we would know by now. Just think about it, they have started coring and bad news would mean early encounter of the OWC which would need to be communicated to the market right away. The longer that CVN core the deeper they are going in search of the OWC, and the better the news for shareholders.
I am happy to be corrected as I’m no expert in this area.
