I have thought hard on this to try any understand why Harmony would have been happy to go along with this process, I think I may have an answer?

I reckon Harmony knew that metalstorm would be a takeover target by the US ( because that is the only country allowed to do so!)they have also tried to in the past but MOD wouldn't sell, I also believe they knew damm well that their (harmony)holding combined with what MOD has left makes that impossible unless they agreed on a price!

With the AFHL deal, if it had of gone through then they would possibly had enough? it would have been a close run thing, but I very much doubt that it was ever a genuine offer anyway, it was designed more to shake the tree, and it did that well, so there are possibly three to four hundred million or perhaps more that changed hands cheaply and are sitting in the wings ready for a takeover,they may get a lot larger holding due to this latest deal? but I have my doubts whether they will achieve the full 80% for compulsory acquisition, because I reckon harmony would pull the plug on that first?

There are also another very important thing in play here as well, once contracts come the SP will go higher, this is when GEM could short the process, but there is one other problem with that, "these weapons are required now", and any delay is a problem for the US I believe, remember this, Harmony could still call in the administrator and still get the majority of the IP if they so wish at any time, if it is seen that the company is being diddled re the SP, this I believe is definately something that the US would not want, because all the IP would be locked up for years in legal arguments and that would delay any rollout of the weapons for years perhaps!

My belief is that they will attempt to get as many shares as they can cheaply (they already have a lot if I am right)but in order to get the whole shebang they will have to pay what MOD and Harmony want,for the last 20 something percent or so? and anybody still holding will get the same amount!

I think this is why Harmony are happy with this deal because they know at the end of the game they will get a decent price for their holding!
