They come out with a trading halt. (I expect good news as the price has run hard the last couple of days)

But then later today they get a speeding ticket and say "The company is not aware of any information that has not been announced that may have affected recent trading."

If there is no new news then they wouldn't be in a trading halt. So why did they say that???
They probably should have said something like "we are in progress of xxxx xxxx" and have earlier requested a trading halt.

I'm probably just being a knob, but thought it was strange ;)
