I don't see why it should be an issue. Market Capitalisation is the thing that counts.
If there is a consolidation the market cap always goes down - shouldn't, but does.
So, if you are hoping for a reduction in the number of shares, be careful what you wish for!
Besides, a lower unit price tends to attract more retail buyers (seems less to be losing, or they are attracted to the greater gearing).
