Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has brushed off attacks from Australia’s business community and declared his government was delivering a prosperous economy.
After Business Council of Australia CEO Bran Black claimed Australia was taking “steps backwards” under Labor, Mr Albanese argued the economy has been on a positive trajectory.
The national economy most recently grew at 0.2 per cent in the June quarter – the slowest pace since the 1991 recession.
Despite this, the Prime Minister said on Tuesday: “We’re seeing continued growth. We’re seeing a continued rise in business investment.”

I think people need to wake up that business knows how to do business - BUT, building a nation IS NOT running a business - nothing like it

Australia IS in trouble and it's primarily in trouble precisely because it's been listening to business and doing what business wants for decades

people need to work out that business, in Oz these days works on a very short timeframe - and that is NOT how one builds a nation.
