So, what do you think the 'scientific community' is getting at? YES, stop carbon emissions, ie AGW, and you "stop" climate change!
I have long advocated that instead of wasting money on trying to stop the unstoppable climate change, we should be spending that money on ADAPTING to the impacts of the unstoppable climate change.
