I have consulted the Magi at my imperial palace at Persepolis and, as odd as it might seem, they have told me to ignore the oil / gold nexus.

Their incantations cry out: 'watch inflation ... watch global inflation ... inflation will drive gold .. higher .. and higher. Fear will drive gold higher ... buy gold ... keep gold ... inflaaatiooon ... dont' forget that terrifying word ... inflation ..'
