Sad but true. At least their is some logical thought in the boys head to reach his answer. I know of many Year 11 & 12 students who cannot write a simple sentence yet their is pressure put on the teacher to pass these students just to make the school results look good. Reading ages of grade 3 or 4 in high school are not uncommon. School education is the only facet of life I know of where a person can fail and still be promoted to a higher level of study the following year.
