    Hi Nammuldi and all,

I agree with you something isn’t right; however, it’s all a matter of where one looks.

    A 250 power computer in 2015 costs $1,500.00.

A 500 power computer in 2016 costs $2,000.00 No inflation.

Last year’s electric / rates / water bill compared to the current period this year and yes you see inflation.

East coast city houses, apartments and stock markets are where the freshly printed money is causing inflation.

Basket of goods say containing banana’s $3.00 Kg along comes a cyclone banana’s up to $14.00 Kg replace bananas with apples, same with prime rib fillet down to pet mince and no inflation.

The powers that be have plenty of tricks to convince most of the people most of the time that there is no inflation and no need to lift pensions and welfare payments.

People like you and I know it’s there and yet officially deflation continues to rule the roost.

The central banks are now making 2-3% inflation their targets and I dare say they will print, twist, tarp and QE until they achieve it.

Of course IMHO once they get the inflation genie out of the bottle and being one that has lived through 18% & 21% interest rates I will be interested how they will control him. Cheaper more powerful computers are one thing and our insurance, power and food bills are something else.

Inflation is around us all the time like the elephant in the room we don’t mention; however, like you I’m wondering when the dangerous hyperinflation will make an appearance. For now the powers that be are doing a wonderful job with their smoke and mirrors and let’s not forget Japan is in its third decade of financial trickery so it may go on here longer than we think.

Personally I think it will all end in tears but what would I know I only pay the bills around here!

Cheers and very best regards: Andy
