I dont think anything is dependent on Palta. Even if it is a big find Palta its not going to generate any income for STX for along time ie whenever shell decides to do anything with it.
Palta is just something nice to add to the asset list. I also think they should flog off the either the Cooper or the Eagle Ford. The cooper makes more sense to me as there is clearly demand and they could probably get a good price for it and then property develop the Eagle Ford and turn the company into a producer.
Its all about income you cant do jack all without it.
What are peoples thoughts on the fair value of the coopers permits alone?
