there is nothing on the site that is for PROPER day trading or elsewhere- only a day trading chat room gives you what you need and I dont they dont exist here - they are more front running/boiler rooms but I could be wrong. In the early days it was good for day trading loads of charts etc but everyone packed up and left as they either got rolled by the pros or got sick of all the rubbish ramping with zero content

in saying that real day trading is really boring here unfortunately not enough market participation by traders who know what they are doing but its doable but isolating

and you are very right about almost every stock on the day trading thread being high risk all are seriously overbought almost every time - its just luck and inexperience passing money around bar the few who get set early - almost of the stocks are already with the instos who are already up 300-1000% from placement id say its running at around 60-70% like that currently

your best bet is to ignore it entirely - i presume you can actually trade so the DT thread would just tire you anyway with all the nonsense posts day trading is too hard and fast to have time to read rubbish 90% of the time

That's exactly what I'm looking for - the chat room experience.
I've gathered that they're hugely popular in Japan, a market that is dominated by day traders (famously BNF, CIS etc) that to ignore them would be foolish, they control so much of the turnover that instos look at them when making decisions in the way that we look at instos...
A shame they don't exist for the aussie market! But imagine a forum did exist here, the daily views, hits, revenue would seriously walk all over HC...one can only dream...

And u hit the nail on the head, I'm day trading news and closing same day easily (sometimes next minute like FBR today...)
And I'm also trading the levels like you mentioned in the same way, but even these trades I feel I need to hold overnight to get my money's worth...might make 1R if I close today, but incredibly likely to continue and make 3R or more tomorrow...etc, so I hold more often than close same day...not my idea of minimising overnight risk!
