I think EPM has got its PR the wrong way round. The video of successful mining is ancient history. The cryolite was mined out.
So it is what might be in areas away from the pit itself that interests me, not what is within the pit - deeper down.
To get at that quartz EPM is going to have to deepen the pit substantially - maybe to twice its current depth. It seems to me therefore that the existing tunnel, that lets the ore be removed from the base of the pit, will become impossible to access and need to be reconstructed. Problems of water control will increase.
My question to EPM is why not start a new pit, based on the drill cores you have.
