A few days ago I did ask EPM, via their web page contact method, whether they had the GoG's permission to pump out the pit. There has been no reply yet. I'll follow up with another email if there is no reply by Monday.
I of course recognise that EPM's tenements, if they go ahead with the purchase, are more than just the pit. However EPM has promoted the pit as a source of cryolite and quartz.
Seeing mention of EPM's rare earth mineralisation at Gronnedal-Ika carbonatite deposit reminds me that, in what seems like a previous life, I was with a party that climbed the world's only active carbonatite volcano - Mount Oldoinyo Lengai in Tanzania.
