I then went looking for historical documents about other known reserves other than Cryolite in the pit There is an interesting report from the late 1970's (from memory) that states what resources other than Cryolite are down the pit and estimated tons. EPM have since published information about what else is potentially in the pit.
And yes. I'm am always worried about the environmental aspect. Noting the conclusions in the this report, cleaning up the left over tailings, that according to the good Canadian Doctor on the field trip in 2014 is like a 'Kid In a Candy Shop', should be even better for the environment on this brownfield site.
