Everyone knows the historical reason why they didnt need cryolite before. Its old news. But that doesnt explain avoiding the flourite cryolite sitting right there next in line to dig up. Not pure cryolite. Fluorite cryolite. Are you suggesting theres an issue with mining the fluorite cryolite that outweighs those when digging tailing waste up out of the sea for cryolite they previously discarded? Seems a desperate measure if they had a fresh mound still to mine. Maybe its actually the fluorite that caused them not to touch it?
