the food die analogy is an analogy, after awhile it mixes and your cup water will be coloured. Im assuming you have heard of silts, sediments and soluble. If so youd notice when you put food dye in it quickly falls to the bottom as it mixes outward. Gravity pulls it down over that of the water. How would that effect of even heavier minerals and so hows that going to look over 30 years. Will they continue to fall to the bottom too? You can see how this analogy isnt very applicable when you think it through.
