Isd say youre right the older miners would have overcome the water hurdle by pumping it out to sea.
However times have changed and theres stringent regulations on sea discharge. We all know that. Especially for the mining industry.
The other factor is they were pumping out water wash from the top 50m of soil. This hasnt been weathered over millions of years.
Now take a look at the REE samples taken. Check the thorium levels. These are extreemely high. Thorium is very radioactice. Will radioactive waste water be discharged out to sea into Greenlands primary source of food and export income. A sea with fish and marine life. I feel this may prove problematic. At worst EPM may be required to perform toxicology tests conducted over many years to prove their proposal will have no effect on marine life. I believe GGG did this and this was just site run off that didnt get into the pit, not pit water.. These are the things you need to know about in Greenland. Thats why I hope the seller with years of thisexperience has passed this information along. Please understand this is obviously my own opinion. But you can surely understand its validity in either feeling or sharing absent a solution so far.
