All companies in Greenland are not in the same boat when it comes to earthquakes.
I would rather be working inland when an earthquake struck. The last place I would want to be is way below sea level in a deep pit, with only a wall of rock separating me from the ocean.
Both the seller and the buyer emphasise the value of the pit. That's why the wall of granite should be examined before the sale is completed. Unfortunately that means pumping out the pit into the ocean, and we are yet to have an answer that such pumping out of the water-filled pit is approved by the GoG.
Of course even a solid wall would not protect the workers in the pit if an earthquake generated a tsunami.
