Coopers, do you think that Vic Labor's jobs growth plan will be so successful that they can forgo a few thousand jobs and the royalties and investment that will come with the Bacchus Marsh project?
Not to mention the reductions in carbon emissions from more efficient power generation and a de-centralised distribution network?
I have not lived in Victoria for over a decade and have not followed the election campaign that closely, but have noted any single project that the political leaders have identified that will bring in a few thousand jobs? This on top of the job losses in Geelong and elsewhere with manufacturing plant closures.
IMO if it was not for the hysterical reaction from greens, these brown coal projects would be spruiked long and hard by the political parties for the benefits it would bring all Victorians.
