is this the best value holiday?

Hmmm... kids are growing up quickly... debt will always be there.... a few grand wont make a difference in the big picture, but kids will always remember the holiday they went on with the family, and not how quickly you paid the debts off..
Mrs rebel feels we need to have a break.. so what how when ?

Saw some cruises that seemed reasonable...
So from adelaide 4 of us x 4 flights is minnimum $1k
cruises minimum $700 each for say 8 or 9 night...so $2800
Transfers from airport to wharf..$100...
so say $4k
food is covered, but drinks are expensive i am told...so thats extra...

Now for $4k i can go to bali for 10 nights, air fares, transfers, buffet breakfast..
So i need to pay for say meal a day....
Hmmm...
I wonder what other options ...i was thinking Mid June..
For 4k you wouldnt do much in Aus..accom etc...
I was looking at the Gold coast...$4k gets me airfare,accom, hire car, entry to the worlds (unlimited pass deal)..

So a few options...... If I actually decided to do somthing..
NZ was dearer, Fiji ..similar...
anyone care to throw other destinations...my kids are 10 and 14...
They would prefer Gold coast... Mrs rebel wouldnt....
I would like peace..lol
