Tourism is dead.
Australia has become on of the most expensive places in the world to travel.
People travel and tell their friends.
$25-$35 for a pub meal and $10 for a beer, the exchange rate makes it even worse.
Equivalent in the UK is about half the price in A$
That says something.
I recently went to Townsville for a wedding.
Flight-700
Accom-350 (2 nites)
Food, drinks, taxis etc 300 including $20 dollar fish and chips.
Could have spent a week in O/S for less
Until the dollar drops by 30%, tourism is toast.
