I have absolutely no problem with him being a Councilor. It is admirable for most (although not for those who merely seek election to 'look after' their personal property interests).
However, most Councilors are not CEO's of start up companies or big established companies. They are usually retired or semi-retired people or small business owners with well established enterprises or non-executive professionals (lawyers, accountants etc.)
My point was that, in potentially the most important month of the Company's history - with a $1.4B deal in the offing and a contract with the world's 57th biggest company - he would not have time to devote 3 hours of every Saturday to talking to constituents. And that's on top of his other Council obligations - weekly business meetings and other events!
