dt - your scenario may make sense if one or two banks are involved. However, we're talking about a syndicate of 16 banks here, including the big 4 Aussie banks. Furthermore, companies such as BLY that throw off cash are ideal loan recipients. They had close to $2 billion revenue come through the door last year - more than enough to cover interest repayments.
