Geothermal projects are generally of two types, volcanic and hot dry rock (e.g. geodynamics- heat generated by low level radioactivity in granite insulated by the right type of cover to hold the heat in).
The problem with the latter is the holes are much deeper (typically 5km for geodynamics project) and much more expensive than drilling in volcanic systems-typically under 2000m’s. The cost of drilling deeper holes is more exponential than linear so there is a huge advantage to costs with holes near or less than 2000ms.
KGL’s is volcanic and has a further large advantage because the existing power is diesel and very expensive.
I actually wouldn’t have minded keeping this in house and fund it from Andash cash flow because energy is an attractive sector and this project looks quite attractive so far.

Wipeoff, I have no details on what day the vote is scheduled for (just that it is scheduled this week).
