Thanks for the responses Rak. It really does matter that it is a penny stock. At least in the US it does because large institutions rarely will buy a penny stock, so the volume we see here is usually due to small investors buying in. It would be interesting to find out what if the DataDot move of the last week is typical among flash-in-the-pan runs of Australian penny stocks or not. If DDT were in the US, this kind of volume would almost certainly mean there is very very big news and people with deep pockets are buying in for the longer term.
