As for you Sir Landgrubber, you do what? produce beef for export, and for this we must pay you. So Let me get this straight. Born as a snobby nose, you inherited land from Daddy and you believe that this makes you a farmer, and having a very small brain it stands to reason that someone without land is not a farmer. Very Good! So you produce beef for export markets and for this you believe that we must pay you. If I may be so bold, your Highness, I asked you once or twice before, as to where you reckon your rental payments and your perpetual property value increase derives from?
According to Proudhon "the landholder is either a parasite or a thief," though I'm sure it's both.
An educated guess, and I hit you smack on the nose. But it wasn't difficult, I mean your acreages were never something that you earned. You never earned state enforcement of your property title.
So being simple minded, you have only one response, "so what do you do, eh?" but what you really mean to say when you ask me this is "so what do you do for me, hey? what task do you perform in the service of capital, hey?" Yeah hey, you say "what service do you provide to help push up my property value into the sky, hey?"
A much better question that you should have asked me is what I could do with your land if the state ceased to enforce your theft over it. That would have been a much better question.
