It's all about timing.
$100k half way through the day of the announcement would have seen the buyer with a $1m profit, at the highs. Even now, after getting smashed down from those lofty highs, the buyer would still be more than $100k ahead.
Buy $100k, by starting circa 16/18c, then averaging down at 13c and then again at 11c........ well, that's just poor decision making.
Plenty of knife catchers here in Hot Copperville.
