Six million per life saved? Using their estimated cost of $240 billion, that works out to 40,000 people. Going by what we know from the mortality stats from other countries, that seems a rather lowball estimate - if the virus were allowed to simply run rampant through the population, you'd be looking at more like 250-500k dead (and many more left with permanent lung damage). If you're going to start relaxing restrictions, you need to be damned sure you're ready and well-resourced with rapid and accurate tests, well-stocked hospitals and thoroughly protected medical staff. Otherwise you'll just be unleashing Pandora's box, and the effects - both economic and humanitarian - will be dire.
