Could I suggest that a little more research might pay dividends? You will find that nearly all flake graphite is expandable, though there are variations in the degree. But. in practice, it doesn't matter much whether the factor is 500 times or 1000 times or whatever - the cost of the graphite is usually small compared to the ultimate value of the material in which it is incorporated. Your checking up will also reveal that there are many different reagent sets which can bring about the expansion. Could be interesting to find out the criteria which different users employ in selecting the best way to expand graphite for their own particular application.

But it would be high-risk to hang your hat on the idea that TON has some sort of exclusivity on expandable graphite.
