It is conjecture how burning they did and recently there have been many who have tried to rewrite history with their own romantic favored version with out any proof.Aboriginals left no detailed records of what and why they did things we can only gain knowledge of what our early pioneers noted and most of what early Gippsland settlers said was that Aboriginals were mainly along the coast where the food was and in the summer travel inland along ridge tops into the hills and did burn along the ridge tops and areas along the coast where they lived but the big bush fires were usually ignited by lightning when drought conditions dried out the Ash species in the mountains.
