    Pretty simple really.

    The fuel load is massively increasing due to hotter and drier weather. (cough, cough climate change)

    If it wasn't hotter and drier then the fuel load wouldn't be there to ignite fires.

    There are between 15 - 26 million lightning strikes a year in Australia alone. Worldwide 8.6 million strikes a day. Hence, it is impossible to stop lighting strikes and the tinderbox for fires.

    Only fools would blame forest management. The scale of this is actually too large for anyone to manage except your backyard.
