Trump is doing exactly what people wanted and expected him to do. Do you honestly think Americans like multimillionaires sitting for the national anthem because they are oppressed? Think about it for a moment. The leader of the most patriotic country on this earth is criticising people for not standing.
Generally, leftists hate the NFL. They hate the violent nature of it and would prefer it be banned. They might watch the super bowl. Trump is saying exactly what most people are thinkiing. IN a sport made up of 70% blacks who become instant millionaires, supporters who are mostly white find it offensive that the NFL which ALWAYS latches itself to the military, the American flag, patriotism is being used as a political tool to offend the very people who pay their wages.
It is actually ridiculous to assume Trump is "sick" on this issue when he knows full well that it pisses most Americans that millionaire 20 somethings kneel for oppression.
The irony is that the left ridiculed Tim Tebow when he kneeled to pray on the field before a game. BTW, Tim Tebow was a very average player who was an American sensation, loved by nearly everyone.
