I have the three day rule as well- but then you get caught up thinking about the rebound.
Its a mental thing. You get used to the SP being in a particular range. Then Mr Market gently takes you by the hand and seeks you to see that the real SP should be something else. We get petulant.
You worry about setting your order too low and missing out. So you jump in too early. But it is not a fatal mistake. In the long run it should work out- if your research and conviction is well grounded.
I have moved on from the paper profits that evaporated.
I have set my top up buy order for the market to react to the RBA.
