I think you will find that article has been very poorly written and open to interpretation......

The following article taken from ASX release dated 21/11/12 may actually help clarify what they actually meant by that statement you referred to!

ASX release 21/11/12:

'Commenting on the Company’s success in being awarded WA-460-P, WHL Energy’s Managing Director, Mr Steve Noske stated: “Capturing WA-460-P demonstrates our ability to succeed in gazettal rounds. It is pleasing to offer our shareholders indirect exposure to an exploration well when the Palta prospect is drilled in 2012.”

So they obviously mean WHN will have exposure to Shell's drilling of Palta-1 in June 2012. If Shell hits paydirt and find commercial quantities of gas then WHN will get a huge lift as a result!
