no. Gamestop was shorted over 100% lol. the most shorted stock on asx right now is webjet at 14~% - certainly some price appreciation can come from them buying back- and heck after what happened with gamestop shorters will think twice about their positions.... but what happened with gamestop was a freak occurance as far as I can tell.
